Jennie Zheng - Inspiring Interaction Design

3. The Velib bike rental system in Paris really inspiring me, it is a bike rental system that can allow user to rent the bike for long-term(a week) and short-term(day). Basicly, user rent a bike in one station and can return it at next station, and i think the distacne between each station is about 30 mins bike. When I fisrt knew the bike rental system, I thought it was very useful and green designed. It can work very well in high population density cities, allow citizen, tourist travell fast. From what I saw in the video clip, the bikes are very friendly designed, there are basket and light in front of the bike allow user to put stuff. It fulfills the need of short, long term transport for citizens and tourist in Paris.

4. Trustworthy - friendly designed
- every bike are the same
- provide basket and light

Appropriate - the system is very appropriate to fast living rhythm cities, it can help reduce traffic jam, and also the most important thing is it is green.

Smart - brilliant, very well designed, now it is not only about design, it is about the practice of everyday custom, habit of the modern mass.

Responsive - I haven't get the experience of the bike, but from the second clip, the paying machine works very well and the bike is easy to use, response well.

Clever - mentioned, the design helps get away of contaminate

Pleasurable - I think it is quite pleasurable to riding the bike on street of Paris and enjoy the view, and you can stop very where you want to.
