These are photos of advertisement space in transit areas throughout Europe. Amnesty international the human rights organization put out a series of activism poster that took on a unique approach to capture the attention of the viewers.
Trustworthy- Yes, Amensty is a registered and respectable organization.
Appropriate- That's arguable. But in order to gain significant reaction and after thought these ads have to be extreme and intrusive. So even though they seem extreme it's for the greater good.
Smart- You know its smart, you didn't think of it. This ad series does the remarkable job of pushing the boundaries in print media and public space art. Its technique gives image impaction.
Responsive- Yes its responsive, the viewer is really engaged with the image because of its realistic nature and its fit with the surroundings. The power of this lets people reflect about the issue displayed.
Clever- Very. Space behind the ads have never been incorporated in the composition.
Lucid- Yeah the message is straight forward if your a intelligent compassionate human being with an awareness of the world and amensty.
Pleasurable- No! That's exactly what I love about it. Part of its brilliance is to make people uncomfortable waiting for that train, and forced them to think of the horrific acts that are committed against people around the a world. Amensty gets an A+!
