The Hydraulic Table

Devin Wilson

3. This hydraulic table design initially attracted my attention because of how simple and easy the design is to use and how this design could be useful for absolutely everyone. Everyone uses tables, but not everyone uses new electronics and technology. This design applies to a massive audience. The design is cost effective and automatic allowing the user to use the design with no physical labor making the design unnoticeable, which is ideal in my opinion. The design’s “smart” system automatically levels the table perfectly so that there is no slope on its surface.

5. The element from the design process that I find most intriguing is the actual designing of the product. I am much better at working with visual aesthetics than mechanics and technology. I find the most interest and feel I am much better at designing an aesthetic appropriate to the designs use, which looks good and compliments its functions

TRUSTWORTHY: This is a trustworthy product because it is a simple design where not much can go wrong. The less there is to a design with a simple use such as a table, the less can go wrong.

APPROPRIATE: This design is definitely appropriate. Outdoor tables (restaurant, patio) with an uneven surface to deal with could be considered a common predicament. Although I believe this is the designs biggest concern. Does this design solve a large enough problem?

SMART: This design is very intelligently designed. I definitely believe the way this table performs should be considered a smart but simple design.

RESPONSIVE: This design requires no resistance of any kind making it responsive in every meaning of the word.

CLEVER: I do believe that this is a clever design for being the solution for a small but common problem. Because of how simple and inexpensive the design is, why wouldn’t every table have this unique ability? There’s nothing to lose.

LUCID: The products process requires simply sitting at the table. Its use is obvious and straightforward requiring hardly and though at all.

PLEASURABLE: I think it is a product of very subtle pleasure.
